In addition to private practice, Dr. Lee has served in numerous professional roles during his dental career such as: a dental officer in the United States Air Force during Operation Enduring Freedom, and an associate protessor and clinical director of orthodontics at The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.

During his nearly 15 years as a faculty member at Houston, Dr. Lee participated in clinical teaching, lecturing to residents, and orthodontic research. Dr. Lee was also a member of The Shriners Hospital for Children Cleft Lip and Palate team for over 12 years. Treating that special population of patients provided Dr. Lee many opportunities to treat complex orthodontic jaw surgery patients.

Another aspect to their family dynamic is that one of their sons has special needs. To their knowledge, Dr. Lee is the only orthodontist in the USA, and perhaps the world, who is a father of quadruplets. Dr. Lee and his wife have plenty of stories about parenting and marriage, some fun, some crazy, some disheartening, but both of them acknowledge that they couldn’t have made it through each day without a faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s Dr. Lee’s hope and desire to apply biblical principles to how he treats patients, manages his staff, and operates his practice.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lee primarily enjoys spending time with his wife and family. His personal interests include woodworking, DIY house projects, and hiking in the mountains…oh, and cheering on the Astros!
